MYCO is an innovative fungi-based ink system developed within the GROWinK project. Inspired by the natural stages of fungal growth—from spores to mycelium to fruiting bodies—MYCO creates vibrant, natural colors that replicate the traditional CMYK model without relying on petroleum-based chemicals. This breakthrough transforms printing into a sustainable, regenerative process, perfectly aligned with GROWinK’s vision of eco-friendly, living ink.

APPLICATION

The MYCO color system is designed to replace petroleum-based inks commonly used on synthetic polymers, including plastics, polyester, coated surfaces, and paper. Currently, MYCO is optimized for screen printing, enabling small-batch, customizable formulations ideal for sustainable and artisanal projects. We are actively developing ink formulations and cartridge prototypes to enable future integration with inkjet, Risograph, and sublimation printers—paving the way for scalable, eco-friendly printing solutions.
